Arabic hadith textعن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «ابْنَا العاصِ مؤمنان: عمروٌ وهشامٌ».
English translationAbu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ''The two sons of al-‘Ās are believers: ‘Amr and Hishām.''
ExplanationExplanation of the hadith
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) testifies that ‘Amr ibn al-‘Ās and his brother Hishām ibn al-‘Ās are believers. May Allah be pleased with both of them. This Hadīth indirectly refutes the claim of those who disparage the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them).
